Valle de Lecrín – Lecrin Valley
One of the prized treasures that hides the province of Granada is the Valley of Lecrín.
This small region of Granada situated in the south west side of Sierra Nevada, maintains a great diversity of landscapes.
It is found situated in a gorge surrounded by deep ravines, and enjoys abundant water and a microclimate that favours the cultivation of citric plants and avocados amongst others.
The perfume of the valley at dawn, when the oranges and lemon trees are in flower, is an experience difficult to forget.
All these characteristics make the Valley of Lecrin, a superb framework to live in contact with nature, but also very near some of the better known tourist attraction in the south of Spain.
Costa Tropical – Tropical Coast
The Costa Tropical is on the southern coast of Spain, at the eastern end of the better-known Costa del Sol.
This stretch of coastline takes its name from the sub-tropical climate which allows the cultivation of exotic fruits and crops such as avocadoes, mangoes, bananas and sugar cane.
There are three main resort towns on the Tropical Coast – Almuñecar, Salobreña and Motril. Almuñecar is the tourist capital of the Costa and is one of the most Spanish resorts along the entire south coast. It’s a favoured holiday haunt of the Spanish from Granada as it provides excellent leisure facilities but has not been tainted by the trappings of mass tourism.

After the walk you can enjoy a young wine “mosto” in a local bar and savour the tapas that will complete your day!
